Okay, yes it's been almost five months since this happened but I'm gonna' post it anyway. I'm going to try to catch up a bit this week.
Wednesday, January 16, 2013, our guinea pig, Cinnamon, passed on, leaving us after a frantic trip to the veterinarian and heroic efforts to revive her. We held a graveside service on Thursday afternoon with the neighbor boys joining us. We shared words of comfort with each other, "all things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all." Evelyn said what a good guinea pig she was and how we will miss her. We hope she is in guinea pig heaven with no predators, endless fresh grass, dandelion leaves and timothy hay galore!
Friday brought a different end; Todd's ski season for 2012-2013. After a couple fun runs at Alpental Todd caught an edge just as he and my brother, Peter, were coming down to the lodge and took a tumble. Seems he broke his right thumb and damaged his right knee. Preliminary exams point to a torn ACL
