More on Christmas to Come!

I have to get to bed but I have lots more fun pics from Christmas with the Sargeants, the Bellevue Botanical Garden Christmas lights and much more! Stay tuned and stay dry. Everything is floating away! Thank goodness we live on a hill with all this rain and flooding. My heart goes out to all those in harms way right now.

Sugar Cookies, White Elephants and Christmas Eve

My family has begun a tradition of exchanging "white elephant" gifts on Christmas Eve. It has become one of the most antipated events of the season for us! Beware the pretty packages... (Sorry my pictures are kind of cloudy. Evelyn was breathing on my camera and clouded up the lense!)

My sister-in-law, Penny and my husband, Todd look on as the gift giving begins.

My oldest brother, Mark, explains the rules and regulations.

George Clooney, um, I mean my younger brother Peter, coveting someones white elephant gift. "Hmmm. Do I keep my yellow cake plate or do I go for the skateboard?"
Julia, Kim and Finley enjoying some fine wassail and smiling at the thought of who the lucky recipient of their white elephant gifts will be! How do you explain white elephant gifts to a five year old? "They're not something you want," I told him. He actually got something he wanted after trading his bun firmer for Mark's skateboard. Whoohoo!
The beautiful people, Joel and ZouZou. :) It was fun meeting her! Two thumbs up!

Making sugar cookies with the kids on December 23rd. Messy, but fun!

Happy New Year!

So many changes afoot. I have some cute photos of the kids from the holidays. We had really great holidays with both of our families. Although the Sargeant Christmas was postponed due to the huge amounts of snow! Finley and Evelyn are still enjoying all their new toys. Todd and I are still enjoying our new TV we bought as our gift to ourselves! We have been doing a lot of rearranging of furniture in the house, getting rid of a lot of clutter, but making more in other areas as we dig out boxes and drawers long neglected. I think it is going to be worse before it gets better!

Pictures to come!
