Upon finding myself viewing my ever hip and savvy sister-in-law, April's, blog with admiration and curiosity, I decided I must have my own blog! What a great way to use one medium to accomplish two tasks that I struggle to keep up with in my life: journaling for my own personal sanity and chronicling the precious and ever changing lives of my two children, Finley and Evelyn.
"To Trip the Light" means to dance nimbly or lightly, according to Wikipedia, and the Nantastic part, well, humour me folks. To live nimbly and lightly is my goal this year. To rid myself of heavy things, both emotionally and physically;Things that keep me from living in the moment or that cast a shadow on all the wonder, spirit and life around me.
I have kept a journal since 5th grade and I actually still have them all. I write with a pen and paper in a journal about my kids and my husband and our life together and I like the feel of actually writing, but alas, in this sped up world we live in today, I have to admit that an electronic journal makes more sense. I will still continue my paper journaling though, just because it reminds me of a time when I actually had time to practice my penmanship.
Here are a few photos of my kidlets, Finley, four years old in November, and Evelyn, nearly 7 months old. When the sun makes an appearance in the Northwest, you can bet your REI fleece that we are out there enjoying it.

This is beautiful, Nan. Good Morning to you on March 6,2008.
We will be among your continuing followers of your way as you journal online with "Trip the Light Nantastic". Of course, as parent, parent-in-law, and grandparent to those precious people pictured on this blog, we highly commend your efforts here.
